If A Vacuum Is Quiet Does That Mean That It Is Not As Powerful?
I am looking to purchase a canister vacuum for our home with mostly hard wood flooring and have gone to several vacuum shops to try out different vacuums and was told today that the Miele brand vacuums may be quiet but are not powerful at all. Miele had been my first choice because they are very quiet but after the sales reps spill today I’m not so sure. Just wanted to see what others thought before I purchase. Any thoughts or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.
do not get a dyson. seriously, don’t. i’ve only read bad things, AND our trusted vacuum shop has a trade in one with a sign on it that says something like “not for sale, i wouldn’t sell this crap.” orek is light and quieter but only really picks up surface/visible dirt. i have a kirby, maybe overkill and overpriced, but wonderfully powerful (but loud). check out reviews on amazon.com and epinions.com as you continue searching, and trust the advice of your local independent vacuum repair/sale shops, they know a LOT more than anyone else on the topic and might have a higher end one that’s used so in your price range, but just a good!
not necessarily. the quiet one could just have better sound proofing.
but generally speaking, the powerful ones are kind of loud.
Sound has nothing to do with power. Some companies are making quieter vacuums. Here is are 2 comparison charts, and they show that the Miele has a more powerful motor, and that is what you wanthttp://www.consumersearch.com/www/house_…http://www.allergybuyersclub.com/compare…
yeah its not that powerful!! if u use a big vacuem, it suck up that ****. all that dirt and dust!! i have a red vacuem, and it makes a vibrating sound, that aint right!! so i would think if the bigger it is, the better, google it!! go to wikipedia!
i heard the same thing about those…i ended up with a dyson…works great on carpets hardwood…and tile(has all 3)…and it doesn’t keep spitting the dirt back out…good luck
if a tree falls in the forest with no one there, does it make any noise
no its just as powerful. it just doesnt make a big LOUD noise. unless it is a very inexpensive vacuum, then it may not be as powerful.
No check the size of it or the size of the motor. Companies are going for the quiet as it sells better. The size of the filter and the vacum motrois the main feature. most people want a quieter vacum and they are in.
Either that or you are going deaf.
