Upright is good. Portable is not.
I really wanted to like this set of vacuums. I like bagged vacuums because they are much cleaner and don’t get clogged filters.

Hoover Platinum Bagged Better than Dyson DC25 All Floors

Outstanding vacuum
I own an old Kirby, which I love for the power, but it’s often too much trouble to wrestle it out of the closet and bolt on the proper attachments for a quick cleaning chore.
