If they are dirty or clogged, remove the clog and rinse the filters and let them dry. If after that your vacuum still doesn't work, my husband and I found a Bissel upright on special in Target some months ago for about $70. The odds are against something like that happening again, but your best bet is still to check Target, Walmart, or comparable stores. Good luck!
